Holly Holm vs. Angela Hayes will stream live on hollyholm.com on Friday night. | Will Fox/Sherdog.com
Even if you can’t make it to Albuquerque, N.M., on Friday to see Holly Holm’s sixth professional mixed martial arts appearance in person, you still another option.
Holm is perfect in five professional bouts so far, stopping each of her opponents by knockout or technical knockout. “The Preacher’s Daughter” made her MMA debut in March 2011, stopping Christina Domke with leg kicks 3:58 into the second round at Fresquez Productions “Double Threat.” A 14-time, three division champion with a 33-2-3 career mark as a professional boxer, Holm continued to juggle both boxing and MMA until officially retiring from the sweet science in May. Since then, the Jackson’s MMA standout has posted stoppage victories over Allanna Jones and Nikki Knudsen while competing under the Legacy Fighting Championship banner.
Hayes, meanwhile, returns to the cage for the first time since Nov. 18, 2011, when she choked out Trisha Clark at a regional event in Colorado Springs, Colo.. The 40-year-old Rough House MMA & Fitness representative enters the bout having won five of her last six fights. Hayes is 6-6 as a professional overall, with five of her triumphs coming via tapout.
