Dan Henderson, on “The Savage Dog Show,” discussing how much longer he’ll fight:
“At least two or three years. We’ll see how my body feels and what else is going on in my life and go from there. I’m enjoying it still, but if every one of my fights are like my last one [against Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua], I don’t know how much longer I want to do it for. That was definitely a tough fight, I’ll tell you that. … I definitely want to finish the rest of my fights undefeated and go out that way. I think a lot of guys have that in their mind and then when it comes down to it, they either love the sport too much or need the money or both and they do stay too long. That might be me, but that’s not what I’m anticipating. I’d like to not lose any fights between now and when I’m done. Win a UFC title along the way and go from there. I don’t think I’m going to be satisfied or content with fighting guys that aren’t the top guys. If I can’t compete with the top guys, I think that’s when definitely it’s time to go.”
