Healy Expects Size Advantage Over Thomson
Loretta Hunt Jun 26, 2010
When former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson
needed a new opponent, Pat Healy had a
hunch he'd get the promotion's call. Healy, who out-boxed Bryan
Travers to a unanimous decision on May 21, opted to throw
himself right back into training for a shot at the top-10 fighter.
He meets Thomson at Strikeforce/M-1 Global "Fedor vs. Werdum" this
Saturday at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
In this Sherdog.com video exclusive, Healy discusses where he believes he'll have an advantage over the American Kickboxing Academy product and how the move down to the 155-pound division has jump-started his career.
