Golden Boy Promotions on ESPN Weigh-in Results: Herrera, Soto Karass on Target
Golden Boy Promotions is set to take over Fantasy Springs Casino in
Indio, California, on Friday night with a welterweight showdown
between Mauricio Herrera and Jesus Soto Karass. At Thursday’s
official weigh-ins, the two featured fighters and the rest of the
televised combatants mad weight.
Soto Karass (28-11-4, 18 KOs) is 0-3-1 in his last four bouts, but throughout his career, the Mexican brawler has lost to almost solely against elite level opposition. Soto Karass came in at 146 pounds, looking to turn his recent losing streak around. Herrera (23-7, 7 KOs) is a former super lightweight world title challenger and is coming off a solid win over Hector Velazquez in March, He came in at 145.8 pounds.
Televised coverage begins on ESPN at 9 pm. ET/6 p.m. PT.
