Glory 32: Virginia Weigh-in Results: Adamchuk, Vargas Cleared for Title Tilt
Glory will once again invade the good state of Virginia on Friday.
Glory 32: Virginia will commence inside the Ted Constant
Convocation Center and will hope to electrify fight fans with a
loaded main card and SuperFight Series undercard.
Headlining the Glory marquee will be featherweight champion Serhiy Adamchuk (33-5, 14 KOs) looking to defend his throne against Gabriel Varga (27-3, 8 KOs). The event will also feature a four-man one-night light heavyweight contender tournament. The first semifinal matchup will see Pavel Zhuravlev (69-10, 25 KOs) facing Ariel Machado (48-6, 33 KOs) while the other side of the bracket will contain a matchup between Warren Thompson (11-3) – who replaces Manny Mancha - and Zinedine Hameur-Lain (54-13, 33 KOs).
At Thursday’s weigh-ins, all of the combatants came in ready and on
point, giving the green light for the entire card. Varga clocked in
at 142 pounds for his coveted rematch with the champ, who also
weighed 142.
The light heavyweight tournament fighters were all given the thumbs-up at the scale as Thompson checked in at 202 while Hameur-Lain came in at 207.5. On the other side of the bracket, Zhuravlev tipped the scale at 206.5 pounds and Machado weighed 208.
Glory 32: Virginia’s main card will be televised live on ESPN3 starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, with a replay on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. The Glory 32 SuperFight Series undercard will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
