Couture Faces Golden Gloves Champion in Ring of Combat Debut

Kim Couture, ex-wife of UFC hall of famer Randy Couture, will meet Munah Holland in her promotional debut at Ring of Combat 32 on Saturday at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J.

Couture has won two of her last three fights, sandwiching wins over Felicia Wells and Rosa Vizcarra around a first-round submission defeat to Marianna Kheyfets. The 34-year-old Walsenburg, Colo., native now trains out of the Tapout Training Center in Las Vegas. Four of Couture’s last five fights have ended inside one round, including a pair of appearances under the Strikeforce banner.

A 2007 Golden Gloves champion, Holland has never before competed as a professional mixed martial artist. The 35-year-old trains at Team Tiger Schulmann in Elmwood Park, N.J., and has honed her skills inside Chuck Norris’ World Combat League.

Ring of Combat 32 will also feature a lightweight duel pitting once-beaten Renzo Gracie protégé John Cholish against Ring of Fire veteran Rich Moskowitz and a light heavyweight tilt pairing “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 11 alum Costantinos Phillippou and Marcus Finch.
