Combate Americas to Stage ‘30 Fights in 30 Days’ for April

Combate Americas on Monday announced that it will embark on an aggressive campaign on NBC Universo. Dubbed “Road to the Championship,” Combate Americas will promote a weekly one-hour program starting on April 18 from Los Angeles.

According to the promotion, a total of 30 bouts will unfold over a 30-day period. Some of the participants are Ricky Palacios, Erick Sanchez, John Castaneda and Kyra Batara, though matchups and other combatants have yet to be revealed.

“We are thrilled to be featured in a new, weekly slot that will allow us to continuously showcase the best and most exciting young Hispanic fighters and future world champions” said Campbell McLaren, founder of Combate Americas and co-creator of the UFC.

The first of the weekly shows on April 18 will actually be the third event in the “Road to the Championship” series. After the “30 Fights in 30 Days” marathon has concluded, the most successful fighters in each weight class will be placed in the first Combate Americas title bouts.
