Premier Boxing Champions is wasting no time in getting things underway in the New Year as the company has announced a series of fight cards for January. PBC revealed Thursday afternoon that unbeaten prospect David Benavidez will lock horns with Kevin Cobbs in one of the featured televised bouts Jan. 19 on Fox Sports 1.

Headlined by a 10-round welterweight clash between undefeated contender Jamal James (18-0, 9 KOs) and 2008 U.S. Olympian Javier Molina (17-1, 8 KOs), the event will be held at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. The televised portion of the Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays card will air live on FS1 starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT and will air simultaneously on Fox Deportes.

Benavidez (11-0. 10 KOs) has looked sensational thus far into his still-blossoming career, with only one opponent being able to survive to see the final bell. The Phoenix-based fighter, the younger brother of unblemished contender Jose Benavidez, last fought in November, when he starched Felipe Romero in two minutes.

Cobbs (10-1, 4 KOs) is looking to make the eight-round super middleweight bout a difficult one for the favored Benavidez. Cobbs has won four straight, with his last two triumphs coming via stoppage. He last competed in October, where he trounced Ralph Johnson within three frames.

Also set to appear on the card is surging middleweight contender Caleb Plant, who squares off against Adasat Rodriguez.
