While he didn’t register another knockout, Ivan Baranchyk was able to remain undefeated by edging Abel Ramos in a wild 10-round brawl. Their magnificent thriller anchored a ShoBox tripleheader on Showtime Friday night, captivating a sellout crowd inside Buffalo Run Casino & Resort in Miami, Okla.

Baranchyk (14-0, 10 KOs) took Ramos off his feet early in the third thanks to a right cross, but just when many thought that he might end the fight early, the Russian was floored by a counter left hook. The wild action continued in the fourth where Ramos was decked a second time after the two super lightweights stood toe-to-toe. The relentless action continued for the remainder of the fight but while the rounds were loaded with beautiful chaos, Baranchyk was clearly the better, sharper fighter.

In the end, Baranchyk won a clear-cut unanimous decision, racking up tallies of 97-92, 97-93 and 99-91. Ramos, for his valiant effort, dipped to 17-2-2 with 12 KOs.

In the co-feature, Joseph Williams improved to 11-0 (7) by edging former Olympian Lenin Castillo (15-1-1, 10 KOs) in a moderate upset via majority decision. Williams was a step better than his light heavyweight counterpart and won with scores of 78-74, 77-75 and 76-76.

Featherweight prospect Jon Fernandez tore up Ernesto Garza III (7-2, 4 KOs) in the opening bout of the Showtime telecast before stopping him in the third. Williams (11-0, 7 KOs) dropped Garza in the first and then finished him off with a barrage of punches at 1:39 of the frame.
