Alliance MMA, Inc., a mixed martial arts organization that offers promotional opportunities to aspiring fighters, announced on Wednesday that Burt Watson has joined the company. Watson will be Alliance MMA’s Director of Fighter Relations and will serve as a motivational mentor for Alliance MMA’s regional promotions and their fighters.
“Alliance MMA has already acquired five promotions, and we have plans to expand our operations aggressively in the coming months,” Robert Haydak, President of Alliance MMA, stated. “Burt’s direct involvement will create a level of consistency for the promotions that we believe will result in our ability to ensure remarkably competitive opportunities for our fighters, while at the same time maximizing the entertainment value for our fans. Burt has a unique talent for personalizing the fighter’s experience which creates a truly supercharged environment. Watson began his professional in the sport of boxing where he coordinated events featuring such all-time greats as “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Oscar de la Hoya, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. before moving to MMA where he served as the event coordinator for the UFC. From there, he became the head of fighter relations for Cage Fury.
