Bellator 218 Weigh-in Results: One Heavy; One Bout Scratched

Bellator MMA is returning once again to their adopted state of Oklahoma, with the promotion adapting after a slew of last-minute changes to give the fans an intriguing headliner: a rematch between Emmanuel Sanchez and Georgi Karakhanyan.

Sanchez hit the scales at 145.5 pounds, as he prepares to face Karakhanyan (146) once again in the Bellator 218 main event this Saturday at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. The two first met at Bellator 170 in 2017, where Sanchez emerged victorious by capturing a majority decision. Co-headlining the event will be a heavyweight battle between Valentin Moldavsky (232.7) and former light heavyweight title challenger Linton Vassell (246.7) -- with all four making weight without issue at Thursday's early weigh-in.

Bellator 218 "Sanchez vs. Karakhanyan," which airs Paramount and DAZN at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, also features a middleweight matchup between Russian knockout artist Anatoly Tokov (185.9) and former Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor Gerald Harris (185.5). Starting off the main card will be a middleweight tilt between relative newcomers Norbert Novenyi (185.1) and Will Lavine (185.5).

One fighter missed weight: Ryan Walker (*156.2), who has been fined 20 percent of his purse. Roman Huerta did not weigh in for his scheduled light heavyweight bout against Christian Edwards, as Huerta was reportedly several pounds over the limit, and the fight has been cancelled.
