In his third consecutive bout against an opponent from the Las Vegas-based team, Imavov started quickly, then held on for a bizarre — and often ugly — majority decision triumph over Roman Dolidze in the UFC Fight Night 235 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. It was a much-needed victory for Imavov, who was coming off a winless campaign in 2023. As a result, Imavov enters the middleweight rankings at No. 10, while Dolidze falls to 12th on the heels of his second consecutive setback.
Elsewhere, Natalia Silva continued her ascent in the women’s flyweight division, as she earned a decision victory over tough veteran Viviane Araujo in another featured contest at UFC Fight Night 235. The former Jungle Fight champion has won five straight in the Octagon at 125 pounds, a run that allows her to enter Sherdog’s divisional rankings at No. 13. Not a bad way to celebrate a birthday weekend for the surging Brazilian.
