(PRESS RELEASE) -- LAS VEGAS –Tuff-N-Uff returns to action on Saturday, May 15, when mixed martial arts' premier amateur organization heads to the Cannery Hotel Casino in North Las Vegas for the latest installment of the promotion's famed "Festibrawl" events.
"Tuff-N-Uff: The Future Stars of MMA" sees fighters from across the state of Nevada – not to mention Arizona, California, Iowa and Texas – come together for a full night of intriguing matchups featuring the top up-and-coming athletes in the sport today. Two championship contests serve as the headlining matchups.
"If you've ever been to a Tuff-N-Uff event, you know you're going to see the top prospects in the world enter our cage," Tuff-N-Uff exec and co-founder Jeff Meyer said. "But our 'Festibrawl' events take things to a different level, with a little something for everyone on hand to create a can't-miss event."
Highlights on the fighting lineup include Mix It Up Academy fighter Brandon Schneider (3-2) taking on fellow Tuff-N-Uff veteran Mike Florio (7-2) for the vacant Tuff-N-Uff light heavyweight title, as well as Tuff-N-Uff flyweight champion and Torres MMA Sport product Victor Mabin (7-6) defending his belt against UFC Gym fighter Jamin Tayaba (7-5).
The first Tuff-N-Uff fight is at 7 p.m. PT local time, and doors to the venue open one hour earlier for the "Festibrawl" pre-party.
In addition to the night's featured contests, "Tuff-N-Uff: The Future Stars of MMA" will feature a full lineup of 12+ bouts featuring top amateur talent from Las Vegas and around the nation. Top camps represented on the card include American Kickboxing Academy, Carlson Gracie, Drysdale Jiu-JItsu, Pit MMA, Syndicate MMA, UFC Gym, Wand Fight Team and Xtreme Couture, among others.
