ABOUT THE ONE STEP CLOSERFOUNDATION
The One Step Closer Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization whose main goal is to ease—as much as possible- the lives of those with CP. Through fundraising efforts including “Raising the Stakes for CP Celebrity Poker Tournament”, OSCF brings together celebrities, poker pros, high rollers and everyday advocates to increase awareness about CPand to assist people with the disorder and theirfamilies. Over 700,000 adults and children in the United States currently have CP and two out of every 1,000 children will be born with CP.
ABOUT JACOB ZALEWSKI
Born February 13, 1983, three months premature Jacob Zalewski was given a 3% chance of survival due to various complications at birth. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of three, but the onset came at birth. Zalewski has never considered himself handicapped by this debilitating disease. Rather he has considered it a blessing, looking at it as something to use positively to inspireothers .
