(PRESS RELEASE) -- UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin and celebrity friends to present endowment check to revered medical center and visit current patients

WHAT: One Step Closer Foundation Founder Jacob Zalewski, a former patient at Shriners Hospitals for Children, along with celebrity supporters will present a $10,000 donation to the esteemed hospital on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2p.m. The event brings attention to those suffering from CP, an incurable disorder that affects the body movement, muscle control and coordination. “Shine with the Shriners” will feature celebrated UFC Hall of Fame fighter Forrest Griffin, popular MMA star Ian McCall, wrestling personalities from celebrity Booker T.’s School of Wrestlers and former WWF diva Ryan Shamrock (Alicia Webb). ABOUT JACOB ZALEWSKI

Born February 13, 1983, three months premature Jacob Zalewski was given a 3% chance of survival due to various complications at birth. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of three, but the onset came at birth. Zalewski has never considered himself handicapped by this debilitating disease. Rather he has considered it a blessing, looking at it as something to use positively to inspireothers .
