(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bettendorf, Iowa- Renowned trainer, broadcaster, and MMA legend Pat Miletich recently announced that his Iowa based gym is now under new ownership. Formerly Champions, the gym in Bettendorf is now owned by local businessman Mike Reddish and former early Miletich Fighter and US Army Veteran Eli Shetler. Under the new name Core Fitness Systems, Reddish and Shetler bring a new aggressive focus to building the relevance of MFS back to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
Junior Hernandez holds a black belt in Miletich Fighting Systems, which is arguably the very first fighting style to integrate all aspects of Mixed Martial Arts. Hernandez is also a rising star in the MMA world and is looking to make an impact at the 145 pound division. Junior also has a great cast of trainers, including former UFC veterans Nate Schroeder, Joe Jordan, and Jiu Jitsu specialist Jimmy Cerra.
The Bettendorf gym is currently home to approximately 40 amateur and professional fighters. Along with rejuvenating MFS, Reddish is also in the process of starting a new management company to support the fighters in their gym. “I feel it just makes sense to take care of our guys, inside & outside of this gym. We have an intimate relationship with these fighters & care about their future & the future of this team! We will use our own experience in building successful businesses, along with the knowledge Pat Miletich has given us in the MMA world, to build a respected MMA team and management company.”
