PFC heads to North Dakota for “Beatdown at 4 Bears”

NEW TOWN, ND - The Palace Fighting Championship will hit the road to North Dakota on Saturday, Nov. 10 for PFC 5 "Beatdown at 4 Bears."

It will be the first PFC show held away from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, CA where four straight sold out shows have pushed the PFC into one of the fastest growing mixed martial arts promotions in the country.

"We are excited about this show. With PFC 5 we are able to bring some of our West Coast talent to the Midwest and we are also able to get a look at some of the up-and-coming talents from North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana and Ohio," Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino Entertainment Director Christian Printup said.

"We will always have Lemoore as our home base and we have six events planned for 2008 in Lemoore, however with our impending television deal we will travel the show to markets where we will be televised. All in all it's a very exciting time for the PFC," Printup added. "We will continue to move the show around we are close to signing with a talent agency that will work to book us into other casinos and venues around the country." And first on the list of stops is New Town, North Dakota's 4 Bears Casino.

In the main event, Brad Imes squares off with Chris Blair (6-0) of Kearney, NE.

"We initially had Justin Eilers (Pictures) scheduled to fight Chris Blair, who is a tough up-and-coming heavyweight from Nebraska, with a good wrestling pedigree. Unfortunately, Justin hurt his ankle during training and we had to look for a replacement," Printup said.

Also on the card is a non-title lightweight bout between PFC Interim Lightweight Champion Poppies Martinez (Pictures) (12-3) of Lemoore, CA vs. Nick Zorg (4-5) of Findley, OH.

Martinez is fresh off a technical knockout victory over Brandon Jinnies (Pictures) (2-7) of Stockton, CA at PFC 4 "Project Complete" on Oct. 18. Martinez has won two straight fights and is shooting for a bout against Shad Smith (Pictures) (9-8-2) of San Bernardino, CA in January. Smith is the PFC Lightweight Champion and defeated Martinez in March for the belt.

Printup is also excited to showcase a heavyweight bout between Matt Blue Lafromboise (13-4) of the Turtle Mountain Tribe in Fargo, ND against Chris Galliher of Indianapolis, IN.

"We are looking forward to seeing Matt Blue from the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota, a very promising heavyweight who will be taking on a big guy in Chris Galliher with a solid boxing background. We expect fireworks in this fight," Printup said.

In other bouts;

- Minnesota heavyweight Seth Guimont (1-0) vs. Aaron Alvord (1-0) of Menomonie, WI.
- Findley, OH welterweight Mike Musselwhite (0-2) vs. Russel Dietiene (0-0) of Bozeman, MT.
- Fresno, CA light heavyweight Jimmy Dexter (Pictures) (2-3) vs. Ethan Boyle (7-2) of Fargo, ND.
- Exeter, CA featherweight Michael Craddock (2-0) vs. Vance North (0-1) of Chisholm, MN.
