The fighers start the bout by throwing leather and then clinching. In a scramble Miller takes the back of Kimmons and gets his hooks in. Still standing, Kimmons defends the rear-naked choke. The IFL champ sinks in the choke and Kimmons falls to the mat. The tap comes at 1:27 of the opening frame.
Drew McFedries vs. Mike Massenzio
Round 1
Massenzio ducks a McFedries punch and takes down the Miletich fighter. On the ground, the IFL veteran moves to side-sontrol and then gets forced to guard. From there, McFedries frames up a triangle but Massenzio gets out and moves to the north-south position. Massenzio steps a leg over the Iowan’s head and sinks in a deep kimura. McFedries taps at the 1:28 mark.
Jason Brilz vs. Brad Morris
Round 1
Jason Brilz is welcomed by his hometown crowd with a loud ovation. Morris, the Aussie is booed immediately.
Morris throws a right low kick and is scooped and slammed for his effort. Passing to side-control, the Cornhusker is in the dominant position against the fence. Morris gives up his back and the Nebraskan sinks in his hooks. Fighting for hand control, Morris defends any choke attempts. At the 2:40 mark, Brilz flattens his opponent and throws some punches to the head. Morris turns so he is mounted and Brilz moves back to side-control. Brilz rains down elbows from the side mount. With one minute remaining, Brilz goes for a keylock that fails. With 10 seconds left, Morris gives up his back and Brilz attempts an armbar. The round expires. Sherdog.com scores round 10-9 for Brilz.
Round 2
Morris starts the Round with a one-two combo that lands. The Aussie then shoots for a double-leg and is reversed. Morris is forced to his back where he gets full-guard. Up against the cage, Brilz passes to side-control. Again he is looking for the far side arm of Morris. The hometown favorite lets the arm go to punch the head. From there, the over matched Morris gives up his back. For a moment Brilz takes mount and then to the back. More punches and, and this time they're frequent. After a few hard shots the referee steps in to save the Aussie. The win comes at 2:54 of round two.
Kyle Bradley vs. Joe Lauzon
Round 1
The lightweights take the center of the cage and circle. Bradley is the first to strike, and is immediately clinched by Lauzon. From the clinch, Lauzon drops for a leg lock. A very nice setup by Lauzon but nothing is there. Back on the feet with three minutes remaining. Bradley connects with Lauzons face with a punch and buckles the Massachusetts-based fighter. Lauzon recovers and they continue to trade. Joe lands a one-two punching combination and Bradley circles away. Lauzon with another good combo and a knee. Bradley answers with a right to the body. A right hand of Bradley grazes Lauzon and the round closes. Sherdog.com sees the round 10-9 for Joe Lauzon.
Round 2
Bradley fires a shot to the body that grazes Lauzon to start the second frame. Lauzon throws a stiff jab and an uppercut that just misses. Lauzon then scores a takedown, directly into half-guard. He moves to mount quickly and then his opponent’s back. Hard punches land for the TUF 5 cast member. Referee Josh Arney halts the contest at 1:34 of the second frame.
Wilson Gouveia vs. Ryan Jensen
Round 1
Gouviea takes the center of the cage. Jensen wings an over hand right that misses. Gouveia answers with a kick. The Nebraska native lands a jab and misses with a right. Jensen lands a stiff low right leg kick. The American Top Team product throws a kick and Jensen seizes the opportunity to secure a takedown. From full-guard, Jensen pushes the Brazilian to the cage. Gouveia frames up an armbar and transitions to a triangle choke. Jensen escapes and throws down some shots that excite the Omaha crowd. With 1:30 left, Wilson looks a bit tired. Jensen stacks his opponent and Wilson pushes his away. Wilson gets on top in a scramble and takes mount. Jensen immediately reverses and sweeps his opponent. From the top, Jensen lands a glancing elbow to close round one. 10-9 for Jensen.
Round 2
The second stanza starts with the two middleweights high fiving. Gouveia takes the center of the Octagon. Jensen throws a body kick that causes Wilson to cringe. The shot was flush on Gouveia's groin. After a very brief pause the two men engage again. Jensen lands a decent right hook and then scores a takedown. From half-guard Jensen looks to work. Jensen stacks his opponent and that gives the Brazilian the opening for another armbar. This time he seizes it and Jensen is forced to tap. The bout ends at the 2:04 mark.
Alessio Sakara vs. Joe Vedepo
Round 1
The Iowan Vedepo is a crowd favorite over the Italian. Sakara sets the pace with two high kicks that graze the head of his opponent. After a takedown attempt the Iowan stuns Sakara with two hard right hands. Sakara answers with a hard right high kick that ends his opponent’s night even though it was blocked. After one more shot on the ground Yves Lavigne stops the fight at 1:27 of the first.
Eric Schafer vs. Houston Alexander
Round 1
Alexander takes the takes the center of the Octagon and rocks Schafer with two knees to the chin and a right hand. Schafer recovers and takes guard, where he eats some leather. Alexander stands and stuffs a takedown against the fencing. And another. Alexander, breathing hard after only 90 seconds in the cage, knees from the clinch and defends with an underhook. Schafer grips the body of his opponent and trips him to the canvas. Schafer ties down an arm with his legs from side-control. Alexander reverses the position but is caught in a guillotine. Alexander goes to his back and escapes the hold, but he’s mounted. Schafer rains down right elbows as referee Josh Rosenthal watches closely. Punches are launched downward and Alexander just covers up. Schafer sets up an arm-triangle from the mount and patiently moves to side-control for the finish. Alexander taps out at 4:53 of the first.
Alan Belcher vs. Ed Herman
Round 1
The fighters come out swinging and Herman catches a finger in the eye. He shoots for a single-leg but Belcher has none of it. Belcher fires a low kick and Herman answers with a right hand. A lunging left hook from Herman is countered with a stiff body kick. Herman loads up on a three-piece combo and misses. A right hand lands for Herman as Belcher dropped levels for a body punch. Herman gets the fight to the canvas with a double-leg against the fencing. Herman passes to half-guard and looks for a D’arce choke. Belcher escapes and gets to his feet. Another takedown from Herman follows. Not eeven grabbing the fence prevents Belcher from being deposited on the canvas.

Herman stands tough in the pocket but his legs are wobbly. Belcher sets up a beautiful right straight to the chin with a snapping body shot. Herman is in trouble but he hangs tough. Belcher attacks the front leg of Herman with a low kick. Herman fires back with a right hand and trips Belcher to the mat into half-guard. Belcher defends and works back to his feet. In the final 10 seconds of the frame, Belcher shows good head movement and a “Superman” punch.

A straight right from Belcher finds its target. Ed Herman rushes forward in search of a single. Belcher backs away and uses his back against the fence to stay on his feet. Herman backs away and gets a single-leg. Herman gets half-guard but does little with the position before Belcher stands. Herman, showing lots of heart, gets a strong double-leg and slams Belcher to the floor. Herman hits the head from half-guard and moves to mount. Was it enough to steal the round?

Guida kicks the legs of Danzig and stuffs a shot against the fence. A right hook lead scores for Danzig. Guida absorbs a left and a right punch before taking Danzig down with a double-leg. From full-guard, Danzig grabs Guida’s right wrist and works for a kimura. Danzig stands and is slammed back to the floor with a strong double. Danzig stands and again, is slammed to the mat. Danzig worked briefly for a guillotine. From the top in guard, Guida lands right hands to the body and misses a right to the head. Danzig stands as the round closes.

A right hand lands for Danzig before a failed shot plays out. Guida puts Danzig’s back to the cage and muscles him to the floor with a back suplex. Guida takes Danzig’s back and looks for a rear-naked choke as the horn sounds.

Guida escapes and briefly takes his opponent’s back. Guida remains on half of Danzig’s back with one hook sunk. Danzig goes to his back and elbows the head before standing to his feet. Guida stays all over the TUF champion as Danzig pulls guard with a kimura. Guida frees his arm and puts a stamp on his sure victory with punches from the top in guard.

Neer kicks the inside of Diaz’s lead leg and clinches with the TUF champion. Neer slams Diaz to the canvas and works for a D’Arce choke. Diaz escapes the hold and fights off a guillotine. Diaz stands and fights Neer off his back with a standing kimura. The fighters stand toe-to-toe and Neer cracks his opponent with a left hook. Diaz answers with punches to the body and head from close range. From the clinch, Neer connects with an uppercut. Diaz judo throws Neer to the canvas directly into side-control. Neer shows excellent leg work in getting to half guard, where he looked for a heel hook. Neer stood and defended a kneebar, which Diaz countered beautifully by transitioning to Neer’s back. Neer bucked and gave up mount before the round ends.

Good action as both fighters scramble for position and end the round against the fencing.
