Lauzon, Stephens Official for UFC Fight Night

Joe Lauzon and Jeremy Stephens have been cleared to carry the flag for Saturday’s efforts at UFC Fight Night 17 at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla., as both weighed in on target Friday for their lightweight contest.

Lauzon (17-4), who burst onto the scene with a surprise knockout over former UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver at UFC 63 in September 2006, weighed in at 156 pounds. Stephens (14-3), who also tipped the scale at 156 pounds, replaced Hermes Franca on two week’s notice when the Brazilian tore the ACL in his right knee.
