Unbeaten lightweight prospect Kevin Lee has signed a multi-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, according to a recent announcement from the fighter.
“It's official! Just signed a multi-fight deal with Zuffa and the UFC! Debuting early 2014,” Lee wrote.
Sherdog.com additionally confirmed Lee’s signing with a source close to the deal, who asserted that Lee was expected to make his Octagon debut in February. UFC officials have not yet announced the signing and could not be immediately reached to verify Lee’s addition to the roster.
Unbeaten in six pro outings, Lee began his MMA career last year and rattled off three victories in 2012. Another trio of wins would follow for the Michigan native this year, with each of those triumphs coming by way of submission. The 21-year-old prospect was last seen in September, when he tapped out the previously unbeaten Travis Gervais in just 46 seconds under the Canadian Fighting Championship banner.
