Gregory Wilson vs. Matt Ricehouse
Round 1
Ricehouse attacks early with a good low kick and a combination of punches but Wilson shrugs them off. Ricehouse shoots and Wilson tries to defend with an underhook but he falls backwards and Ricehouse takes top position. He postures up and tries to strike giving Wilson the space he needs to try to get up. Wilson tries to scramble to his feet but he is planted back to the mat. Wilson eventually works his way back to his feet. Ricehouse scores yet another takedown but Wilson sweeps him and stands back up. Ricehouse returns the bout to the floor with another double-leg but he still can’t keep his opponent down. Wilson gets back up again and they start trading big punches. Ricehouse, getting the better of the exchange takes Wilson back down with just seconds left in the frame and pockets the opening round on the Sherdog scorecard, 10-9.

Ricehouse vs. Wilson.
Round 2
It is more of the same from round one to begin the second period. Ricehouse using superior wrestling to take the fight to the ground but Wilson continues to work his way free and get back to the standing position. It doesn’t last long. Ricehouse puts him back down and takes side-control. He jumps across and locks up an arm-triangle but he can’t secure the tap. He transitions to Wilson’s back but the overmatched fighter won’t give in. Ricehouse traps Wilson’s left arm between his legs and inflicts damage from side control. Wilson shakes his arm free but Ricehouse is relentless from the top and is clearly in control of the bout. Wilson gets his guard back but can’t mount any offense as the round closes. Sherdog scores the second period for Ricehouse 10-9.

Round 3
Wilson puts Ricehouse on his back for a change to start the final period but he immediately backs out of his guard and lets him up. Ricehouse clinches Wilson and tries to suplex him but he cant quite hit the throw. He ends up with back control anyway and locks up the rear naked-choke at 45 seconds to notch the victory.

Aaron vs. Steenberg.
Thomas Aaron vs. Eric Steenberg
Round 1
Aaron locks up an early guillotine and elicits the tapout at just 56 seconds of the first round.

Lee Brousseau vs. Francisco France
Round 1
France slugs his way inside with wild punches and sinks Brousseau with a body-lock. He lands in side-control and works his way to the back of his opponent. France locks in his hooks and squeezes the rear naked-choke to cinch the submission victory at 1:27 of the opening frame.

Michael Chandler vs. Sal Woods
Round 1
Chandler paws with his jab and shoots a nice double but gets caught in a guillotine. Woods can’t control Chandler’s body and he wriggles off the hook. Chandler pursues his retreating foe, throwing big punches along the wan before grabbing a single and lifting Woods high in the air before slamming him hard to the mat. He takes his back and punches the prone Woods before latching on with a rear-naked choke to coax the tapout at 59 seconds of the first round.

Darryl Cobb vs. Booker DeRousse
Round 1
DeRousse throws a high kick that misses and Cobb grabs a Thai plumb and nails him with a knee to the midsection. DeRousse charges in again but Cobb sprawls and and then treats him to a hard low kick when he rose to his feet. DeRousse pats his leg, mocking Cobb. DeRousse tries to shoot again but Cobb sprawls again and drills him with punches, one right forces DeRousse from his knees to his back. Cobb backs away and lets him back up and DeRousse takes advantage by scoring his first takedown of the match. He goes to work in Cobb’s guard but is rebuffed every time he tries to pass. DeRousse scores with punches as the round comes to a close, making it a very close round. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Cobb on his early success.

Cobb vs. DeRousse.
Round 2
Cobb goes back to the leg-kick well to start the second. DeRousse immediately shoots in response but Cobb sprawls and cracks him with a hard punch that forces him to his back. Cobb allows him back up and again it costs him. DeRousse gets a takedown and works his way into a head and arm choke before transitioning to Cobb’s back. Cobb turns into him and takes top position but DeRousse goes for a triangle that is quickly fended off. Cobb takes side-control and batters DeRousse with punches that force him to turtle and give up his back. Both fighters have slowed considerably but Cobb is able to take mount with just seconds left in the frame. He punches away until the bell sounds and banks the round on the Sherdog card 10-9.

Round 3
DeRousse clinches up to start the third stanza. He backs Cobb against the cage but he can’t do much with it. The break and DeRousse shoots for a single. Cobb stalls him out for a minute but he eventually lifts him and bullies him to the mat. Cobb stymies DeRousse’s guard pass attempts but he is taking shots from the top. Cobb rolls to his knees, trying to get up, but DeRousse bodylocks him and punches away to his head. Cobb relents and rolls back to his guard. After a stall in the action and a referee standup, DeRousse notches another takedown and sets up in Cobb’s guard. Both men trade punches but there is little steam behind them. The fight comes to a close with DeRousse earning the final round on the Sherdog.com card by a score of 10-9. Scoring of the very close first round should determine the outcome of the very competitive bout.

Official scores: 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 for Darryl Cobb, the winner by split decision.

Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro vs. Lyle Beerbohm
Round 1
Beerbohm shoots right off the bell and is stuffed by Ribeiro. He pushes him up against the cage but he can’t suck up his legs. Ribeiro tries to jump around Beerbohm and onto his back but he can’t completely turn the corner and drops back to his feet. There has been nothing but clinching along the cage for the first half of the round and referee Al Wichgers finally steps in to separate the fighters. On the restart Beerbohm goes right back into the clinch, driving “Shaolin” up against the cage but he can’t get him to the mat. The crowd voices its displeasure with boos but Beerbohm is undeterred. He continues to pin Ribeiro against the cage but cannot remove him from his feet. Another break comes with just 30 seconds left in the uneventful opening round. Beerbohm throws a low kick then follows it with another unsuccessful shot just before the round closes. Sherdog.com scores the opening frame 10-10.

Lyle Beerbohm vs. Vitor Ribeiro.
Round 2
Beerbohm is back at to kick off the second. He shoots in again and is rebuffed. He clinches but Ribeiro digs a pair of knees into his body before separating himself from his opponent’s grasp. Beerbohm lands a hard leg kick but “Shaolin” is unfazed. Beerbohm drops for a single but again he is stopped. Ribeiro finally gets a dominant position and goes to work on a chain of submissions but Beerbohm is up to the task. He somersaults around the cage to relieve the pressure on his arm as Ribeiro torques it one way then another. He finally extricates himself from danger and resets on his feet. Beerbohm gets the fight to the canvas with top position for the first time as the round clock ticks down. He tries to get some ground and pound going but “Shaolin” grabs a triangle attempt that he has to fend off. He closes the round with a couple right hands. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Ribeiro.

Round 3
“Shaolin” takes Beerbohm’s back standing and wrangles him to the ground in the opening moments of the third round. He cannot control his scrambling opponent though and “Fancy Pants” turns in and takes top position. Ribeiro latches onto Beerbohm’s right wrist and elevates his guard looking for an armbar or triangle but he can’t secure either when Beerbohm frees his wrist and postures up and out of danger. Ribeiro gets back to his feet and Beerbohm pushes him up against the cage again, clinching him around his waist. “Shaolin” shoots in at the 10-second clapper but can’t secure the takedown at the bell. Both fighters raise their arms signifying their belief that they have won the fight but Sherdog sees it as a draw with Beerbohm taking home the final round 10-9.

Official scores are 30-27, 28-29 and 30-27 for Lyle Beerbohm, who takes the split-decision.

Finney vs. Gunn.
Justin DeMoney vs. Jesse Finney
Round 1
Finney comes out with a bang, throwing head kick after head kick but he does not land anything more than a grazing shot. DeMoney shoots and Finney stuffs it at first but falls to his back. Finney works his guard and sweeps DeMoney before getting back to his feet. Finney gets a front headlock off a scramble and locks up a figure-four guillotine. He sits back and elicits the tapout at 3:22 of the first round to close out the undercard.

“Feijao” Cavalcante vs. Antwain Britt.
Antwain Britt vs. Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante
Round 1
Feijao takes the center of the cage and Britt circles around him. Britt attacks in a brief burst with a punching flurry. Nothing lands clean. Feijao locks up a Thai plum and slips while throwing a knee. Feijao kicks the left leg and Britt counters it with another fast burst of punches. It looks pretty, but Feijao blocks all of them with his forearms and gloves. Britt pushes Feijao into the cage and hits the body with his left hand. Feiajo goes to a Thai plum and Britt clips him with a left hand. Feijao stumbles off the fence and the fighters go straight back to the clinch. Britt works the body again with his left hand. Feijao reverses position and pushes Britt into the cage. Referee Al Wichgers separates them and Feijao takes advantage. He misses a head kick and then cracks Britt with a right hook. Britt’s frame buckles and Feijao smells blood. He steps forward with lefts and rights and an uppercut that finishes the bout as Wichgers steps in to save Britt, who had collapsed to his back against the fence. The official time is 3:45 of the opening period.


Roger Gracie vs. Kevin Randleman
Round 1
Randleman lands an inside low kick on Gracie’s left leg. Gracie jabs and throws a left hook. Both fall short. Randleman goes back to the inside low kick and shrugs off a rush from his opponent. Again Gracie tries to take Randleman down and the Ohioan has none of it. Gracie paws his jab out and he scores with it. Randleman kicks Gracie’s left leg and misses a right hook. Gracie connects with a solid straight right. The crowd starts to boo with two minutes left in the round. Gracie ties up the head of Randleman and lands a knee to the chin. Randleman comes forward and Gracie applies a standing guillotine against the fence. Gracie drags him to the floor and tries to transition to the back, but Randleman is too quick to let it happen. Randleman lands a left hook in the round’s final moments.

Gracie vs. Randleman.
Round 2
Randleman lights up Gracie’s body with a right and a left hook. Gracie connects with a right hook. Gracie uses his jab to score with a straight right. Randleman ties Gracie up and pushes him against the fencing while working a single and then a double. Gracie defends it. The fighters get off the fence and Gracie drops him with a knee to the chin. Gracie hops into north-south position. Gracie moves over to mount and sets up a side choke. Gracie goes to side to finish and Randleman explodes out. Gracie transitions to the back and looks for a rear-naked choke. Gracie locks on a body triangle and Randleman fights the hands to defend the choke. Randleman is defending well until he moves to his left side. Gracie slides his arm under the chin and puts Randleman to sleep. Randleman tapped lazily and looked to briefly go out before coming to. The official time is 4:10 of round two.


Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Joey Villasenor
Round 1
Villasenor fights off two early single attempts from Jacare. A third attempt for the BJJ black belt is successful. Jacare hits the head with his right hand from half guard. Jacare advances to the mount and tees off with his right hand. Jacare takes a high mount and starts to mix in his left hand. Villasenor sneaks out of the mount and gets to his feet. Jacare pushes Villasenor into the cage and knees the body before dropping levels for a trip takedown. Jacare is absolutely teeing off from Villasenor’s guard. Four right hands connect to his foe’s face. Jacare gets lazy from half guard and Villasenor stands. Jacare opens up with his hands and a jumping knee. Nothing lands flush, but Villasenor looks lost as he gets taken back down. Jacare goes straight for an inverted armbar and Villasenor escapes and gets to his feet at the bell.

Round 2
Villasenor looks more willing to throw in round two. He throws his right and is taken down immediately with a double leg. Jacare moves to half guard and Villasenor explodes to his feet. Jacare drops down for a single and Villasenor defends it against the cage before being tripped to the canvas. Jacare again gets sloppy in the half guard and Villasenor finds a way to stand. Villasenor lands a left hand that opens a small cut near the right eye of the Brazilian. Villasenor kicks the lead leg and Jacare switches stances before shooting and scoring a double. Jacare connects with two right hands from the guard. Jacare’s pace slows and again Villasenor is able to stand. Villasenor stops a shot at the bell.

Round 3
Villasenor starts the final round with a flush right hook that backs Jacare up. Villasenor lands a jab that busts open Jacare’s nose. Jacare gives his all on a double attempt and Villasenor stuffs it beautifully. Villasenor opens a window for a right hand with a double jab. Just when it looks like Jacare is in trouble, he lands a hard right hook and gets a much-needed takedown. Jacare lands right hands from half guard. He seems fine with the position as he doesn’t try to advance. Referee Al Wichgers stands the fighters and Villasenor lands a jumping knee before being taken down.

Jacare takes the unanimous decision with scores of 29-28 (twice) and 30-27.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Antonio Silva
Round 1
The fighters trade low kicks and glancing punches in the opening minute. Arlovski falls short on a right hand and then goes back to his jab. Arlovski lands a double jab and a low kick. Silva lands a right hook, left hook combo. I’m surprised Arlovski is still standing. Silva clips him again with a counter right hook. Again Silva blasts the former UFC heavyweight champion with a left and a right. Arlovski is getting seriously outboxed early. He’s taken some heavy shots on the chin, but he’s still standing. Silva clinches and pushes his prey into the fence. Arlovski uses good head movement to avoid another flurry against the cage. Silva trips Arlovski to the floor and then dives into the guard with his right hand. Silva holds onto the leg and does nothing else as Arlovski is trapped against the fence. Arlovski gets to his feet as time expires.

Silva vs. Arlovski
Silva lands a stiff kick to the body. Much like the first round, Silva is playing the counter-punching game, and it’s working. He cracks Arlovski with a right hand and his nose starts leaking on the canvas. Arlovski clinches and switches positions with Silva against the cage. Arlovski knees the thigh and Silva sneaks in an uppercut. Referee John McCarthy separates the fighters. The fighters go back to the clinch and need separated again. Both fighters miss head kicks and Arlovski lands a low kick. Arlovski throws caution to the wind and swings both hands wildly. Silva does the same and neither fighter lands. Arlovski goes back to the low kick before time runs out of the period.

Round 3
Silva connects with a glancing right hand and the fighters go back to the clinch. Referee McCarthy asks Silva to work. He does not, so McCarthy breaks them. Silva and Arlovski trade winging punches in the center of the cage and they clash heads. Neither fighter is cut. Silva clinches again and the referee acts. Arlovski is down on points, and he’s trying to throw his hands. Silva repeats the process by countering briefly and then tying his opponent up. This time, Silva trips Arlovski to the floor from the clinch. Silva lands a few rights from the top in guard. Arlovski uses his back against the cage to stand. Silva taunts Arlovski and runs in the fights’ final seconds.

Alistair Overeem vs. Brett Rogers
Round 1
Rogers opens up first and misses. Overeem returns fire with his hands and the fighters briefly clinch. Overeem is working the lead leg of Rogers with low kicks. Overeem just throws Rogers to the floor. Overeem engages and takes side control on the floor. Overeem elbows the body and ties up the right arm of Rogers. Overeem punches the head and then stands. Overeem reengages on the floor into side control. Rogers is just covering up as Overeem throws both hands at the head wildly. Rogers is blocking most o them, but he’s not doing anything else. Referee John McCarthy watches closely as Rogers rolls over and starts to eat a few punches. Overeem pours it on, and McCarthy stops it at the 3:40 mark of round one.
