Spanish-Language Cable Network Mun2 Launches 10-Episode Series ‘Combate Americas’

Spanish-language cable network mun2 has greenlit a new mixed martial arts reality show from Bunim/Murray Productions’ BMP Latin.
Created by UFC co-founder Campbell McLaren, “Combate Americas” will debut on mun2 in early 2014, according to the official release.

Mun2 has ordered 10, one-hour episodes of “Combate Americas,” which will follow 10 mixed martial artists as they compete to win a contract with the promotion of the same name. The series is currently in production in Miami.
A sister network of Telemundo, mun2 is owned by NBCUniversal and is available in nearly 40 million American households, according to TV by the Numbers.
Founded in 1987, Bunim/Murray is best known for producing popular reality programs like “The Real World,” “Road Rules,” “Project Runway” and “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
