Sherdog.com confirmed the pairings with a source close to the situation. The promotion has not officially confirmed the bouts or the event, but an announcement is expected shortly. UFC on Fox 19 takes place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, with the main card airing on the Fox Network.
Machida and Henderson first squared off at UFC 157 in February 2013, with “The Dragon” capturing a split-decision triumph. Machida would later move to middleweight and eventually fall to Chris Weidman in a title bid at UFC 175. The Brazilian is coming off back-to-back losses to Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold.
Henderson, meanwhile, has won just two of seven bouts since facing Machida. Most recently, he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night on Nov. 7.
As previously reported, Evans and Rua will meet in a clash that was originally supposed to take place at UFC 128, when “Shogun” still held the light heavyweight belt. After Evans withdrew from the contest due to a knee injury, Jon Jones stepped in to defeat Rua to capture 205-pound gold.
After being sidelined for nearly two years, Evans returned to active competition at UFC 192, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Ryan Bader in Houston. Rua, meanwhile, is coming off a three-round verdict over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 190 last August.
