The WSOF 9 fight bill is now complete with the addition of six undercard bouts, including a featherweight showdown pitting once-beaten featherweight Chris Gruetzemacher against UFC alumnus John Gunderson.
WSOF 9 takes place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and is headlined by a welterweight title showdown between Steve Carl and Rousimar Palhares. The evening’s main draw airs live on NBC Sports Network and will also see Marlon Moraes collide with Josh Rettinghouse in a bantamweight title co-main event.
A 12-fight pro, Gruetzmacher rides 10 straight wins into his WSOF debut. The onetime Strikeforce talent last competed on June 16, when he earned a third-round stoppage over UFC alum Roli Delgado, scoring a technical knockout over the 32-year-old at ShoFight 20.
Gunderson makes his sophomore WSOF appearance with 51 pro bouts to his credit. “Guns” debuted with the organization last summer at WSOF 3, suffering a unanimous decision defeat to fellow UFC vet Dan Lauzon.
