“Unfortunately, I won’t be fighting on UFC Washington next week. Fingers crossed [I’ll] be back fighting soon,” Fishgold wrote.
Fishgold is 1-2 inside the Octagon, with a TKO loss to Calvin Kattar and a submission loss to Makwan Amirkhani sandwiched around a submission triumph over Daniel Teymur. The former Cage Warriors lightweight champion did not give a reason as to why he he had to pull out of his bout.
Quarantillo, meanwhile, is on a five-fight winning streak and earned a Ultimate Fighting Championship contract after a TKO win over Kamuela Kirk on the Contender Series this summer. It is unclear if Quarantillo will remain on the card.
UFC on ESPN 7 goes down in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 7 and is headlined by a heavyweight scrap between Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
