The ordering process for Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views has changed: UFC 236 is only available on ESPN+ in the U.S.
Holloway, who lost to Poirier way back at UFC 143 seven years ago, looked to exact revenge on “The Diamond” on Saturday. The Hawaiian wrecking machine opted to walk out to combat to Migos’ “Walk It, Talk It.” Poirier, who is coming off a TKO win of Eddie Alvarez in July, used “The Boss” from the iconic James Brown.
Recently fallen hip-hop star Nipsey Hussle was the most-used artist of the night, with three combatants opting to pay homage to his legacy on Saturday. Co-headliner Israel Adesanya chose Nipsey’s “Victory Lap” and Jalin Turner went with “Ocean Views.” Lastly, Belal Muhammad selected “Grinding All My Life” as his walkout music. The other standout track of the evening was The Fugees’ “Ready or Not,” courtesy of Ovince St. Preux.
