Poirier closed out the entire event to the late, great James Brown’s “The Boss” anthem, one of the best songs from years past. Hooker, meanwhile, used a song a bit newer as he walked out to “I Don’t Get Tired” from Kevin Gates.
Other standout tracks of the bight were “Fortunate Son” from CCR (Brendan Allen); Jay-Z’s outstanding “Roc Boys (And the Winner Is)” (Khama Worthy); Elton John’s “Philadelphia Freedom (Kyle Daukaus); and one of the highlights of UFC on ESPN 12 was when Jinh Yu Frey strolled out Rage Against the Machine’s crushing “Bulls on Parade.”
