"Whatever makes it easier for me to get the win is the path I usually take. If I feel like he is a little slow then I can stay standing. If I want to get it to the ground, I'll take him down. I just try and get the finish," he explained. "Casey is good a good grappler and good striking but at the end of the day I think he is going to make a mistake and I'll capitalize on it and submit him."
If he does that, Bermudez is hoping for a ranked opponent next. He believes he deserves one after being offered Urijah Faber in his return fight, but it did not come to fruition. However, he doesn't care who he fights as long as he is fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
"I think why the UFC and I work so well is because whatever they say I take. I asked for the Urijah fight and O'Malley, but I wasn't clinging onto those. Like whoever they offer me I'll take," he said.
Ultimately, Bermudez knows he is better than Kenney and is confident he will be able to win this fight. Not only does he want to stay undefeated, but he wants to show the UFC why they made a good choice in signing him to a new contract after his last fight.
"I re-upped right after my last fight. I signed a new contract right after my last fight. It is great, this has been my dream job so to be able to have confidence from them," Bermudez said. "I wouldn't want to fight for anyone else."
All in all, Bermudez knows just how good he is and plans on showcasing it once again at UFC 241.
