Holloway undoubtedly intends to bounce back from consecutive losses to current 145-pound champion Alexander Volkanovski, as he pursues a chance to reclaim his spot atop the division. Kattar, meanwhile, has rattled off six wins in eight appearances since joining the UFC roster in 2017, decision defeats to Renato Carneiro and Zabit Magomedsharipov his only missteps.
UFC on ABC 1 “Holloway vs. Kattar”—which airs live on ABC at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT—also features a co-main event pitting Carlos Condit against Matt Brown at 170 pounds, a welterweight showcase matching Santiago Ponzinibbio with Jingliang Li and a pair of middleweight tilts, as Joaquin Buckley confronts Alessio Di Chirico and Punahele Soriano battles Dusko Todorovic. ESPN+ will carry the entire six-fight undercard at 12 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, highlighted by a middleweight clash between Phil Hawes and Nassourdine Imavov.
