The former King of the Cage titleholder draws his first marquee assignment in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, albeit as a short-notice replacement, when he takes on Islam Makhachev in the UFC Fight Night 202 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Their showdown will be contested at a 160-pound catchweight.
UFC Fight Night “Makhachev vs. Green”—which streams to ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT—also features a women’s flyweight affair matching Priscila Cachoeira with Ji Yeon Kim, a lightweight tilt pitting Arman Tsarukyan against Joel Alvarez and a pair of middleweight battles, as Misha Cirkunov meets Wellington Turman in the co-main event and Gregory Rodrigues faces Armen Petrosyan to open the main card. The undercard will stream to ESPN+ in its entirety at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, a lightweight affair between Ignacio Bahamondes and Zhu Rong anchoring the six-fight preliminary slate.
