Rizin Fighting Federation, the premier Japanese mixed martial arts organization, celebrates its 10th year as a cornerstone of mixed martial arts in Japan with its landmark series. Rizin Landmark Vol. 8 goes down on Saturday at the Saga Arena in Saga, Japan.

The event will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between Luiz Gustavo and Yoshinori Horie. “Rising Star” looked impressive in his lightweight clash against Spike Carlyle, proving he can fight against strong opponents without compromising on stamina. He won the bout by unanimous decision. Gustavo, on the other hand, endured several injuries, but has continued to stay on course since his return. What makes the bout exciting? At close range, both men have the experience of counterattacking opponents who choose to be the aggressors.

Just before the main event showdown, featherweight practitioners Kazumasa Majima and Masakazu Imanari lock horns in the co-headliner. Majima has a formidable fighting style built around his ground mastery and takedown techniques, while Imanari’s ankle locks and strategic brilliance are well-renowned. With Majima’s recent dominance and Imanari’s experience, the bout promises to be a gripping battle of contrasting styles.

Fight enthusiasts can tune in to rizin.tv to stream the pay-per-view at 12 a.m. ET. A closer look at the Rizin Landmark Vol. 8 particulars:
