Oktagon MMA, in its bid to elevate its stature as a top European mixed martial arts organization, looks poised to blow the roof of the Resorts World Arena this Saturday in Birmingham, England. Oktagon 56 promises pulse-pounding action and builds upon the organization’s propensity for staging incredible audiovisual spectacles.

The showcase slot features a marquee attraction pairing Aaron Aby—a courageous cancer survivor performing main event duties while living with cystic fibrosis—with Sam Creasey in a rematch from their 2021 clash. In their first encounter, Creasey overwhelmed Aby for a unanimous decision. In Aby’s defense, he was still recovering from the lingering effects of chemotherapy at the time. Since that loss, Aby has posted a 5-4 record, while “Urai” carries the momentum of a two-fight winning streak. Aby fought for the inaugural flyweight title at Oktagon 48 against Elias Garcia, but despite a valiant effort, he lost the fight due to a severe cut.

In the headliner, Shaqueme Rock, a stablemate of Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight sensation Paddy Pimblett, squares off against Stefano Catacoli. On top of that, the card features plenty of other exciting clashes, as Will Fleury makes his promotional debut against Daniel Skvor and Denis Frimpong, a master at verbal fencing, takes on Callum Mullen in an Ireland-versus-England showdown.
