The Legacy Fighting Alliance will return to the Mount Rushmore State for the 18th time when LFA 182 goes down this Friday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Leading the proceedings, NCAA All-American wrestler Mitchell McKee faces regional standout Jose Hernandez in a bantamweight showcase. Spawned by the powerhouse University of Minnesota program, McKee is widely recognized as one of the sport’s top prospects. He was a two-time United States junior freestyle wrestling national champion, onetime All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier for the Golden Gophers. McKee’s 33 pins still rank 12th on the school’s all-time list. In mixed martial arts, he sports an unblemished 5-0 record with four wins by knockout or technical knockout. Hernandez, meanwhile, accumulated a 6-2 amateur record before turning professional in October 2018. Since then, he has registered a 5-1 mark with a diverse array of four finishes, bolstering his belief that he can spoil the party and tarnish McKee’s perfect resume.
LFA 182 “McKee vs. Hernandez” streams to UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. A closer look at the particulars:
