How to Watch DWCS 2023, Week 4

Dana White's Contender Series pulls into its home base, the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, this week with a five-fight lineup featuring a more proven batch of fighters than most other Contender Series cards this season can claim, including the true rarity of an experienced heavyweight.

The 10 fighters who will enter the Octagon on Tuesday are a solid bunch top to bottom, but one obvious standout is Carlos Prates (16-6), who faces 7-0 Mitch Ramirez in a welterweight matchup. “Carlao” carries the momentum of a six-fight winning streak and boasts high-level experience in One Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance, where he been scheduled to fight for the welterweight title last month before receiving the call from the Contender Series.

The lone heavyweight scrap this week features a familiar face in Chandler Cole (10-3), who appeared on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 30 last year but came up short in his quarterfinal against Jordan Heiderman. Cole, who also competed for Professional Fighters League two seasons ago, will look for an alternate route to the UFC as he takes on Thomas Petersen. The 7-1 Petersen has been an LFA heavyweight staple since his second professional fight and a title contender for nearly as long; his lone defeat came against current UFC heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta in a bid for the vacant belt last April.

DWCS 2023, Week 4 takes place on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streams live to ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
