WBC and WBA middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez will look to add one more title to his collection when he takes on IBF title-holder Daniel Jacobs. The pivotal middleweight title unification fight is set to take place this week on May 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) controversially defeated Gennady Golovkin in their highly-anticipated rematch in September to win his middleweight titles. He would later move up in weight in December and make quick work of Rocky Fielding to win the WBA super middleweight title.

However, he will now have a tougher task ahead in Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) as he looks to take one step closer to unifying the 160-pound division. The American has suffered only one defeat since 2010 and that was in a razor-thin unanimous decision to Golovkin in 2017.

“Miracle Man” is currently on a three-fight winning streak and most recently defeated Serhiy Derevianchenko via split decision to win the IBF strap. A win over Alvarez would undoubtedly be the biggest of his career.

The event airs exclusively on DAZN and will start at 9:00 p.m. ET. The main event is expected to take place later on at 12:00 a.m. ET.
