“The Korean Zombie” blended his striking and grappling to capture a unanimous decision over Dan Ige in the UFC on ESPN 25 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Jung has won three of his last four promotional appearances dating back to June 2019. His victory over Ige marks the South Korean’s first triumph in a contest that has gone the full 25 minutes.

4,690: Days since Jung’s last decision victory, a two-round verdict over Michihiro Omigawa at Deep “Gladiator” on Aug. 16, 2008. Prior to Saturday, “The Korean Zombie” had lost his last three bouts to go the distance, falling to Masanori Kanehara, Leonard Garcia and Brian Ortega.
3: Takedowns landed by Jung in five attempts, the second most of his UFC career. Jung previously landed four takedowns in a submission win over Dustin Poirier at UFC on Fuel TV 3 in May 2012. He failed to land a takedown in six subsequent Octagon appearances before facing Ige.
10:10: Total control time for Jung, who grounded Ige in the first, third and fourth frames. By comparison, Ige logged just 1:53 of control time.
92: Significant strikes landed by Jung. Ige, meanwhile, landed 80. Jung outlanded his foe 14 to 10 in Round 1, 25 to 18 in Round 2 and 31 to 22 in Round 4. Ige held a 25-to-17 edge in significant strikes in Round 5, while both athletes landed five significant strikes apiece in Round 3.
9: Bantamweight triumphs for Marlon Vera, tying him with Rob Font and Pedro Munhoz for fifth most in UFC history at 135 pounds. Only T.J. Dillashaw (12), Aljamain Sterling (11), Raphael Assuncao (11) and Urjiah Faber (11) have won more. Vera defeated Davey Grant via unanimous decision on Saturday.
.740: Significant striking accuracy for Vera in Round 3, when he landed 32 of 43 attempts. Vera’s accuracy increased as the bout progressed, as he landed 57 percent of his significant strikes in Round 1 and 64 percent in Round 2. Grant meanwhile, landed 49 percent of his signifcant strikes in the bout.
31: Significant strikes by which Aleksa Camur outlanded Nicolae Negumereanau in their preliminary light heavyweight bout. Despite that advantage, Negumereneau was the one who emerged with a split decision triumph.
19: Significant ground strikes landed by Bruno Silva in a first-round stoppage of Wellington Turman at middleweight. That figure accounts for all of Silva’s significant striking offense in the bout, which ended at the 4:45 mark of the period.

14: Finishes in UFC bouts for Brown, tying him with Belfort and Anderson Silva for third most in promotion history behind only Charles Oliveira (17) and Donald Cerrone (16).
79: Significant strikes landed by Josh Parisian in a split-decision triumph against Roque Martinez at heavyweight. By comparison, Martinez landed 64 signficant strikes.
