The ordering process for Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views has changed: UFC 239 is only available on ESPN+ in the U.S.

After becoming the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first two-division women’s champion by knocking out Cris Cyborg, Nunes is back at bantamweight to defend the title against Holly Holm. “The Preacher’s Daughter” knows how to win a championship and will certainly come prepared July 6 for UFC 239. As fight day nears, check out some significant numbers below:

Championship experience

Nunes claimed the UFC women’s bantamweight championship by beating Miesha Tate at UFC 200. She defended it three times before moving up to 145 to challenge Cristiane Justino for the featherweight strap. As we all know, Nunes made short work of “Cyborg”, starching her at 0:51 of the very first round. “Lioness” has now appeared in a UFC championship bout a total of five times.

Holm is no stranger to the championship rounds either. The former professional boxer holds the distinction of being the first woman to beat Ronda Rousey at a time when the latter was tearing up the bantamweight division. She, however, lost the belt on her first title defense opposite Tate. Holm would later fight for the featherweight title twice, but lost decisions to Germaine de Randamie and Justino. Earlier in her career, Holm captured the Legacy FC women’s bantamweight championship by knocking out Juliana Werner. Like Nunes, Holm has also appeared in a championship match five times.

Longest winning streak

Holm started her professional career with an unblemished record of 10-0. That includes a stint at Bellator, in which she defeated Katie Merrill, as well as the UFC, where she beat Raquel Pennington, Marion Reneau and Rousey. Since then, however, she has gone 2-5, with wins over Bethe Correia and Megan Anderson.

Nunes’ longest winning run is at eight, and the record is still active as of the moment. That impressive streak includes victories over top-quality opposition as Justino, Pennington, Rousey, Tate, Sara McMann, Shayna Baszler and Valentina Shevchenko twice. Of course, that also covers two championship wins and three successful defenses.

Finishing rate

Nunes has built a career out of stopping tough opponents. She owns 12 victories by KO or TKO and three by submission, making for an impressive 89 percent finishing rate. Holm is a finisher herself, and is perhaps best known for her stoppage of Rousey at UFC 193. “The Preacher’s Daughter” prides of having eight wins by KO or TKO for a 67 percent finishing rate. However, she has yet to stop an opponent by tapout.

Post-fight bonuses

Nunes never leaves her intensity behind every time she steps inside the Octagon. As a result, she has earned four Performance of the Night (versus McMann, Tate, Rousey and Justino) awards. Holm is not to be outdone with two Performance of the Night (versus Rousey and Correia) and two Fight of the Night (versus Rousey and Justino) citations.

Career losses

Both fighters have excellent records, with an equal number of defeats at four. Holm was stopped by Tate and decisioned by Shevchenko, de Randamie and Justino. Nunes, on the other hand, was stopped by Ana Maria, Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano and decisioned by Sarah D'Alelio.
