Jon Jones will put his piece of the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title on the line against Stipe Miocic in the UFC 309 main event this Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York. Meanwhile, Charles Oliveira rematches three-time Bellator MMA champion Michael Chandler in the five-round lightweight co-headliner at 155 pounds.
As UFC 309 “Jones vs. Miocic” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the docket bring to the table:
83: Rounds started by Jones as a professional mixed martial artist. He has involved the judges on 10 different occasions and carries a perfect 10-0 record in those bouts.
42: Years of age for Miocic. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on Aug. 19, 1982 in Euclid, Ohio—a Cleveland suburb of roughly 50,000 people.
10: Oliveira wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 29% of his career total (34). His list of UFC victims: Chandler, Beneil Dariush, Jared Gordon and Nik Lentz.
6: Men other than Chandler who have held the undisputed Bellator lightweight championship. Eddie Alvarez, Will Brooks, Brent Primus, Patricio Freire, Patricky Freire and Usman Nurmagomedov comprise the list.
11: Takedown attempts from American Top Team’s Bo Nickal across his three UFC appearances. A four-time NCAA All-American wrestler and three-time national champion at Penn State University, he has completed four of them. Nickal confronts former British Association of Mixed Martial Arts titleholder Paul Craig in a three-round middleweight showcase.
13: Craig victories by submission, accounting for 76% of his career total (17). His methods of choice: eight triangle chokes, two armbars, one brabo choke, one guillotine choke and one rear-naked choke.
5: Countries in which Viviane Araujo has plied her mixed martial arts trade. The onetime Pancrase champion has gone 3-5 in the United States, 5-1 in Brazil, 2-0 in Japan, 1-0 in Canada and 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates. Araujo squares off with Karine Silva in a three-round women’s flyweight feature.
32: Seconds needed for Silva to cut down Clintia Nunes under the Aspera Fighting Championship banner on May 3, 2014. More than a decade later, it remains her fastest finish to date.

The Dana White’s Contender Series graduate toes the line against James Llontop in a three-round catchweight appetizer at 165 pounds.
8: Consecutive calendar years in which Llontop has fought at least once. In addition to his 0-2 mark in 2024, he went 1-0 in 2017, 1-1 in 2018, 0-1 in 2019, 2-0 in 2020, 4-0 in 2021, 3-0 in 2022 and 3-0 in 2023.
