Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor will settle their score when they meet for a third time in the UFC 264 main event on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Each man holds a decisive victory over the other: McGregor blew away “The Diamond” with punches less than two minutes into their initial encounter in 2014, only to have Poirier return the favor in the second round of their Jan. 23 rematch. The winner of the rubber match figures to train his sights on current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, perhaps before 2021 concludes.
As UFC 264 “Poirier vs. McGregor 3” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:
1,007: Significant strikes landed by Poirier as a UFC lightweight, placing him sixth on the promotion’s all-time list at 155 pounds. Only Evan Dunham (1,225), John Makdessi (1,137), Donald Cerrone (1,127), Tony Ferguson (1,085) and Bobby Green (1,045) have connected with more.
4: Sub-minute finishes on the McGregor resume. He cut down Mike Wood with punches in 18 seconds at Cage Contender 8 on March 12, 2011, punched out Paddy Doherty in four seconds at Immortal Fighting Championship 4 on April 16, 2011, knocked out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194 on Dec. 12, 2015 and wiped out Donald Cerrone with a head kick and follow-up punches in 40 seconds at UFC 246 on Jan. 18, 2020.
38: Years of age for Stephen Thompson. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on Feb. 11, 1983 in Simpsonville, South Carolina. “Wonderboy” draws Gilbert Burns in the welterweight co-main event.
12: Takedowns completed by Burns during his six-fight winning streak between Dec. 8, 2018 and May 30, 2020. He did so on 31 attempts.
1,124: Days spent by Greg Hardy as a professional mixed martial artist. The ex-NFL star made his debut on June 12, 2018, scoring a 57-second technical knockout of Austen Lane on Season 2 of Dana White’s Contender Series. Hardy faces Tai Tuivasa in a three-round heavyweight showcase.

The Lobo Gym export holds six other wins by knockout or technical knockout and three more by decision. Aldana toes the line against fellow Invicta Fighting Championships veteran Yana Kunitskaya in a featured bantamweight tilt.
34: Seconds needed by Kunitskaya to put away Cindy Dandois with punches under the M-1 Global banner in December 2010. Having occurred in her fifth professional assignment, it remains the fastest finish of her 20-fight career.

24: Years of age for Ilia Topuria. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born on Jan. 21, 1997 in Halle, Germany. Topuria puts his undefeated record on the line against Ryan Hall as part of the undercard.
