By The Numbers: PFL 2024 Regular Season Weeks 1-3

The Professional Fighters League is operating at full throttle, its trademark seasonal format enhanced this year by the influx of talent from last fall’s high-profile acquisition of Bellator MMA. The season launched on April 4 with PFL 1 at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. All three events presented so far have lived up to the expectations of fans and then some. According to PFL CEO Peter Murray, the organization is keen on delivering the biggest regular season in history, aiming to head to ten top markets around the world and distribution to 160 countries worldwide. With the successful conclusion of these showcases, we take a look at some statistical intricacies of the first three regular season events of 2024.

16: Across all the events, fans witnessed 16 first round finishes, including when Valentin Moldavsky vanquished Ante Delija via TKO in the main event of PFL 1 and Impa Kasanganay got the better of Alex Polizzi in similar fashion at PFL 2.

15: Coming to the finishes, 15 fights saw conclusion via TKO/ KO, including Rob Wilkinson’s defeat of Tom Breese and Brendan Loughnane’s triumph over Pedro Carvalho.

8: Eight fights have ended via submission so far this season. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s flyweight title challenger Taila Santos defeated Ilara Joanne via rear-naked choke in her promotional debut while Michael Dufort submitted Mads Burnell in a lightweight showcase via guillotine choke.

1:02: The quickest finish of 2024 so far was pulled off by Don Madge when he submitted Brennan Ward via rear-naked choke submission at the 1:02 mark of the first round.

3:11: Denis Goltsov’s TKO victory over Linton Vassell stood out for being the latest finish across all events, securing the stoppage at the 3:11 mark of the third round.

12: At PFL 2, all but one fight was determined by unanimous decision as Gadzhi Rabadanov scored a dominant unanimous decision win over Solomon Renfro. In all of the events, we witnessed twelve fights go to the judges’ scorecards.

1062: With these events concluded, PFL has staged 1062 fights so far across 114 events.
