A five-year wait soon comes to an end for Mackenzie Dern.

The decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt will meet Amanda Ribas for a second time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s strawweight division when their rematch headlines UFC Fight Night 249 on Jan. 11 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Dern suffered her first professional defeat at the hands of the Brazilian in 2019. She enters the Octagon with victories in seven of her past 11 assignments. Dern last competed on Aug. 3, when she outpointed Lupita Godinez to a unanimous decision at UFC on ABC 7. Ribas, meanwhile, has alternated wins and losses in each of her past seven outings. The affable Brazilian last suited up at UFC on ESPN 53, where she dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Rose Namajunas on March 23.

As Dern and Ribas approach their forthcoming clash at 115 pounds, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:
