Collier enters the Octagon having alternated wins and losses in each of his past nine outings. The former Resurrection Fighting Alliance titleholder last appeared on June 12, when he wound up on the wrong side of a split decision against Carlos Felipe at UFC 263. Sherman, meanwhile, finds himself reeling after back-to-back defeats. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 29, where he dropped a unanimous verdict to Parker Porter on Aug. 21.
