5. Holly Holm vs. Ronda Rousey 2

It is a natural that this fight would make the list, and it is one that will likely happen before the end of the year. Everyone knows what happened when these two fought in November, and considering how immensely popular Rousey remains, this rematch is a lock.

It makes perfect sense for the UFC to arrange a second meeting, even if Holm loses to Miesha Tate in March. There is so much at stake for both combatants that an entire month of story angles will be coming from every media outlet in the country. Holm is the one who shattered Rousey’s aura of invincibility and in the process made the world’s most popular MMA fighter look like an amateur. Almost nobody gave Holm a shot at winning heading into UFC 193, yet she took out Rousey in spectacular fashion.

Rousey is clearly out for vengeance and wants to recapture her position as the UFC’s most dominant fighter. On the flipside, Holm is still somewhat in her shadow, as some believe her win was a fluke. Rousey, not Holm, is on the cover of the next UFC video game, and Rousey, not Holm, will host “Saturday Night Live” on Jan. 23. ESPN the Magazine recently published a feature on Rousey and how she was dealing with her first professional loss. Their rematch cannot come soon enough.
