Anthony Perosh vs. Tom Blackledge

The Matchup: As a last-minute substitute to fight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at UFC 110 a year ago, Perosh had a nightmare assignment in taking on a much better fighter in front of his hometown fans. He was game and persistent but could do nothing en route to a stoppage defeat at the end of two one-sided rounds.

He will be gunning for redemption against Blackledge, an Englishman making his UFC debut after honing his skills under the M-1 Challenge, Cage Rage and Cage Gladiators banners.

Perosh’s standup was non-existent against Filipovic, though that cannot held against him, as he was literally kept in check for fear of losing his head. He does have quality jiu-jitsu and submission skills, and Blackledge will probably oblige him there unless he scores with something significant standing and creates an opportunity for a stoppage.

The Pick: Perosh is stronger on the ground and definitely outmatched on the feet. He is the pick via third-round submission.
