In what was officially ruled a technical decision, Sexton defeated Sunaba after taking her to the canvas 65 seconds into the second round. That was all it took.

Sexton used all her weight to drag down Sunaba, putting pressure on “Windy Tomomi’s” ankle. This dislocated the bone from its socket and garnered an immediate stoppage. No one wanted to look. At first, it seemed as though Sunaba had incurred a broken ankle. However, it turned out to be a dislocation -- an injury so terrible that she was hospitalized for four months and endured surgeries due to complications with the screw anchorage and a lingering infection. Sunaba fought again 11 months later.
