Baczynski will not remember his ill-fated encounter with Edwards fondly -- if he remembers it at all. They met on the undercard of Gabriel Gonzaga-Mirko Filipovic 2 at Tauron Arena Krakow in what was then the first Ultimate Fighting Championship event staged in Poland. Edwards stole the show. The former British Association of Mixed Martial Arts champion lured in Baczynski and cut him down with a bullwhip of a straight left. “The Ultimate Fighter 11” quarterfinalist hit the deck in a dazed-and-confused state, only to be met by a pair of crushing standing-to-ground punches that drew the curtain. Knowing his work was done, Edwards walked away before referee Grant Waterman arrived on the scene. At eight seconds, it remains the fastest knockout in the history of the UFC welterweight division.
