NR | Andre Fialho (15-4, 1-1 UFC) vs. NR | Cameron VanCamp (15-5-1, 0-0 UFC)Fialho apparently was not kidding about wanting to stay active. Just three weeks after his win over Miguel Baeza, Fialho is back in the cage for this late addition to the card. Fialho was a solid late-notice pickup in January and figured to be a fun addition to the roster, with the potential to be something more. He had already put together runs in Bellator and the Professional Fighters League and was riding a winning streak against a relatively strong slate of competition. Fialho is at his best early, when he is able to march his opponent down and throw power, though things tend to get a bit iffy down the stretch. Fialho is obviously skilled and can pivot to a lot of other ideas, but he often looks uncomfortable in doing so and tires, which results in his losing control of the fight. That happened in his UFC debut against Michel Pereira, where “Demolidor” was able to come back and earn a decision victory, but things didn't get that far in Fialho’s fight against Baeza, which ended in a first-round knockout. Fialho looks to capitalize on that momentum against a promotional newcomer in VanCamp, who has a tough ask his debut. Indiana’s VanCamp is a solid regional fighter who finds his success through sheer aggression in pursuit of grappling and submissions, but he is not much of a control artist and has historically struggled against more athletic opponents. Given Fialho’s tendency to fade, there is certainly a possibility that VanCamp can earn a win through sheer persistence, but he will probably eat the hardest punches he has felt in his career in order to do so, and it is unclear if he would be able to make up the gap on the scorecards.
FEELY'S PREDICTION: The pick is Fialho via first-round knockout.
