PFL Europe Welterweight Final

Daniele Miceli (13-5, 2-0 PFL) vs. Florim Zendeli (7-1-1, 2-0 PFL)

The battle for the PFL Europe welterweight title could be a short but explosive affair. Italy’s Miceli personifies the idea of finish or be finished. In 13 wins, he has nine finishes and has been knocked out in all five of his losses. To punch his ticket to the final, he had to knock out Ibrahima Mane in the first round and submit Yassin Najid in one round with a shoulder choke. At 37, he’s wild and dangerous but can be put away if you land clean on his chin. Zendeli hails from Macedonia and battled his way into the final off a split decision nod over Jack Grant. He’s a solid prospect with decent grappling and striking skills, but nothing that jumps off the page. It’s unclear if he has the goods to slow down Miceli’s momentum.

Miceli may be pushing 40, but his old-man strength is in full effect and he has the gusto to put away Zendeli early. Expect for him to push the pace out the gate and look for a home-run shot to close out the welterweight tournament and cash out big.
