It has already been a decade since “Ice Cold” last graced a ring or cage, so he has largely faded into the shadows of history. However, even when he was at the height of his power and knocking opponents stiff in Pride Fighting Championships, Vovchanchyn had very little to say.

Prizefighting Ukrainians are not known as trash talkers, and Vovchanchyn made sure he stuck to the script. He seemed disinterested in speaking to the media but made up for his lack of charisma with his performances inside the ring. Vovchanchyn went undefeated during one 37-fight stretch and finished his career with 55 wins, 29 of them by knockout or technical knockout.
