Women’s Featherweights
NR | Felicia Spencer (8-2, 2-2 UFC) vs. NR | Norma Dumont (5-1, 1-1 UFC)The future of the UFC women’s featherweight division is quite unclear, but for now, Spencer is the clear best of the full-time 145ers still with the promotion. Still relatively early in her career, Spencer’s UFC tenure to date has basically shown off two things: her wrestling in her wins and her durability in her losses, as she somehow survived some ungodly beatings against Cristiane Justino and Amanda Nunes. Having already lost a title fight against Nunes, Spencer’s left to likely outwrestle whoever else the UFC throws in front of her, which in this case is Dumont. Brazil’s Dumont was one of a few fighters that the UFC signed to debut at featherweight, only to later cut down to bantamweight. In Dumont’s case, she merely attempted to do so. “The Immortal” has had two UFC bouts contracted at 135 pounds but missed weight for both, one of them so badly that the fight was scrapped. She steps in on late notice for this opportunity at 145 pounds, but in the long term, she badly needs to find a way to make it to bantamweight.

Dumont’s style focuses on physicality and aggression that can bully opponents at 135 pounds but leaves her quite outgunned as a featherweight. Spencer’s striking is porous defensively, so Dumont could have some early success. However, Spencer’s durability and Dumont’s tendency to pressure mean that this should hit the mat in short order. Spencer should be able to find a victory shortly thereafter. The pick is Spencer via first-round stoppage.
