Elias Theodorou
This one is a no-brainer. One of the caveats to a lot of our list’s entrants is their age and Theodorou is only 30 years old. On top of that, while he competes as an MMA middleweight, he is deceptively huge; tall, broad and frankly, a beautiful man. A natural athlete, “The Spartan” could easily craft a pro-wrestling body and beef up naturally and top of that, he’s got a whole other world of virtues that makes him appealing to the modern pro-wrestling landscape.
Theodorou is a pro-wrestling fan and a natural athlete, which would likely make his learning curve at a WWE training center a short one; the man gets it. In fact, he’s already done a little wrestling, having done a match for Toronto-based promotion Superkick’d as “Greece Lightning” a few years ago:

Even coming in cold with absolutely no serious training, I think it’s obvious the knack that Theodorou has for inhabiting the art form. He clearly has the ability to work both seriously and for comedy, knows how to integrate his MMA background into spots and above all else, he quite simply just has the look. Plus, Theodorou has an intuitive sense of the business so he could easily flex to a face or a heel depending on WWE’s whims, which is a huge asset in the modern wrestling landscape.
Also, while the UFC has never given him a sniff at the opportunity, he’s another fighter that could be a fantastic WWE commentator, as well, which maximizes his utility over the long term. On top of all of that, he is one of MMA’s most clever, active and engaging social media presences, which certainly speaks to the avenues that WWE wants to hit going forward. On top of his Pert Plus sponsorship for his gorgeous locks, you don’t amass widespread fandom in a fickle MMA world without having a clever, incisive social media voice like the one Theodorou has shown over the last few years.
